Questions and Answers Regarding Virtual Learning from January 4-8, 2021
- What are the school schedules?
NPSD will remain on its current schedule used in hybrid learning. This means:
- All schools remain on their current school hours and schedules.
- The regular early dismissal for all schools on Friday, January 8, remains. Teachers at the elementary level will offer parent/teacher conferences during that time. Teachers at the secondary level will participate in professional development.
- What is the hybrid schedule for the return to school on January 11?
Monday, 1/11: H1
Tuesday, 1/12: H2
Wednesday, 1/13: H1
Thursday, 1/14: H2
Friday, 1/15: H1

- Does the move to virtual impact students with an IEP?
Yes, all students will learn virtually from January 4 to 8. More information about virtual learning from January 4-8, 2021 for special education students.
- What kind of notice can we give so that students and staff take what they need (technology, books, medicine, instruments, etc.)?
By their last day of in-person instruction next week, students should take home all medications, personal items, books, instruments until they return on 1/11/2020.
- What will school look like for North Montco Technical Career Center (NMTCC) students?
NMTCC is waiting to hear from their other sending districts prior to determining whether or not instruction will be exclusively virtual the week of January 4. Once they have made this decision, NMTCC will communicate with their students and families. Please visit NMTCC's website for more information.
- Will the Keystone Exams be held the first week of January?
The Governor recently signed Act 136 which deems any students who passed a Keystone related course in 19-20 as proficient. As a result, no students will re-test in January. However, middle school Algebra I students will still test at the end of the semester. Look for more information from your school shortly after the new year.
- Will free meal pick-up continue during virtual learning?
Yes, distribution will continue: January meal pick-up days are Wednesday, 1/6, Tuesday 1/12, Tuesday 1/19 and Tuesday 1/26 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:30 to 6:30pm. View more information about free curbside meal pick-up.
- What is the Chromebook/device distribution schedule for January 4 to 8?
Chromebook/device distribution will be available by appointment only at North Penn High School (1340 Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA) in the senior cafeteria. Make an appointment. Appointments are available during the following days/times:
- Monday, 1/4/21 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm
- Thursday, 1/7/21 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm

- What is the Chromebook support schedule for January 4 to 8?
- Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm
- Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Will transportation be provided for placements and private schools and schools outside of Montgomery County?

- During virtual learning if a student is a confirmed COVID-19 case should NPSD be contacted?
