COVID-19 Important Information and Reminders
Assurance Testing of NPSD Staff
NPSD offers rapid testing to all of staff weekly in our effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep staff and students healthy. This assurance testing is possible due to a partnership with the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, supported by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Traveling?
Pennsylvania has revised its travel restrictions. View PA travel restrictions. North Penn School District students and staff are reminded to follow the guidelines provided by the state to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Quarantine Questions?
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has provided options to shorten quarantine for contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases. NPSD will follow the below recommendations:
- Quarantine can end after Day 10 without testing if no symptoms have been reported during daily monitoring.
- When testing resources are sufficient, quarantine can end after day 7 IF a diagnostic specimen tests negative and is collected on day 5 or thereafter and the person remains asymptomatic.
Mask Up
All staff and students are required to wear masks, unless medically exempt. Review the NPSD School Board policy.
Be in the know

Take Care
These are challenging times. In addition to doing all we can to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, NPSD is concerned about the social-emotional impact of the pandemic. Families are reminded that various mental health support resources are available.
Together, NPSD will move forward through this pandemic, and eventually, normalcy will return. Until then, please stay North Penn Strong.
